General information;

X-hoodz music academy offers  full and part time study courses lastime from 3-6months.classes are are taught during the school regular term, from monday to friday:9am-4pm while part itme classes are carried out during evenings on weekdays or all-day-weekends necwessitaed by the courses content.

 

Assessment
The course is assessed continuously through work based projects and assignments which should strictly be handed in  within the stipulated period over the course’s timeframe.

Music technology-arranging music, recording, production, sequencing, mixing, mixing &mastering

Piano-solfa notation, major and ,minor keys, ear playing, church music

Music Production Course

(12 Weeks)

Overview

The Reason Music Production course provides students with a basic understanding of production techniques and their implementation within the Propeller head software environment. Our course is specifically tailored. This course will have you making music today!

Modules

• Basics of Recording software’s, what they can do & working with their file types & sound libraries.
• Basics of MIDI.
• Basics of synthesis and creating/using sounds.
• Basic recording/sampling & sample editing.
• Basic samplers & advanced samplers & working with zones/layers.
• Working with loops & drum machines.
• Sequencers: How they work and creating individual parts.
• Sequencing: Utilizing parts and structuring a composition.
• Mixers: Introduction and routing/signal flow. Levels, panning & automation.
• Mixing: EQ & Compression.
• Mixing: Reverbs, delays & time based FX. (Chorus/Phasers/Flangers)
• Mastering: The final stage.

Who Can Apply

Anyone who has a passion for music or anyone with prior experience

Age Limit

All applicants must have reached atleast 8yrs of age but there’s no upper age limit

Applications are currently in progress at Thika Arcade 1st floor,Triotech Cybercafe and at our studio located at Weteithie house 1st flr Thika.

Instruments

Instruments used at the course of training or performance are the responsibility Guitar, recorder, flute and violin students are advised to purchase or hire their preferred instruments for out of session practice

Tuition fees structure is laid out in the academy fees schedule with the terms there-in mentioned

The x-hoodz academy registration fees is non-refundable with fees payable in cash or cheque to be cleared on the 1st week of the month
