False Light?!
It is certainly understandable that even a very earnest and sincere seeker after truth would be confused over the religious situation today, with hundreds of denominations, sects, and cults in Christendom alone, as well as hundreds more in other countries and cultures, and with new religious movements arising almost every day. Nevertheless, God has provided adequate instruction for us to enable us to â??know the spirit of truth and the spirit of errorâ? (I John 4:6) if we really want to do so.
There are three criteria which are especially helpful in evaluating a particular cult or movement: the teachings of its leaders concerning the Bible, concerning Christ, and concerning the way of salvation, respectively.

There are three criteria which are especially helpful in evaluating a particular cult or movement: the teachings of its leaders concerning the Bible, concerning Christ, and concerning the way of salvation, respectively.
Attitude toward the Bible
The Bible claims, many hundreds of time, to be the written Word of God. The Old Testament Scriptures were accepted by Christ and the apostles as divinely inspired and completely infallible. Jesus said: â??The scriptures cannot be brokenâ? (John 10:35). With respect to the New Testament, He promised His apostles that â??the Holy Ghost shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto youâ? (John 14:26), and that â??the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truthâ? (John 16:13).
Therefore, during the first century, the apostles who had been with Christ, had witnessed His resurrection and had received these promises, gradually wrote down the Gospels and Epistles which now comprise the New Testament. These were readily received and recognized by the early Christians as inspired Scriptures. The apostles claimed that these writings were divinely inspired and authoritative, and true Christians have always accepted them as such.
Finally, the last of the apostles, John the Beloved, near the end of the first century, was enabled to look prophetically into the future ages and to write down the last of the true Scriptures, the book of Revelation. This completed God’s written words,
â?? I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. â? (Revelation 22:18, 19).
These last words of Christ’s apostles give us a most important rule. The Scriptures are fully inspired, even to the very words, and those who would add to them or take away from them are, to the extent they do so, false teachers.
In general, cultists have been guilty of â??adding toâ? the Scriptures, claiming either that the writings of their own founders were divinely inspired or that the interpretations of their leaders were uniquely necessary and authoritative. Modernists and liberals, on the other hand, have been guilty of the even more serious error of â??taking away fromâ? Scripture, culling out or allegorizing those portions which they decide are unscientific or unreasonable to modern man. The true teacher, however, will accept all the Scriptures, and only the Scriptures, as the infallible Word of God.

Why should I save sex for marriage?
Furry Vengeance
Dan (Brendan Fraser) is a real estate developer who has uprooted his family for a year to head up a project (Rocky Springs) for his boss, Lyman. The move is only temporary, but his wife Tammy (Brooke Shields) and son, Tyler (Matt Prokop) are not happy or supportive. Dan and his family are living in the first completed house in the project. It is a beautiful house sitting in the middle of a forest. Lyman bills themselves as ECO friendly and a â??greenâ? company.
As the work crews build other houses, it becomes apparent that the wildlife in the area have no plans of moving from their beautiful woodlands. When a raccoon hears of Lymanâ??s plans for Stage Two of the project, which includes leveling the forest, the animals plan revenge on Dan. The animals â??attack,â? in various ways, and Dan becomes obsessed with getting even. Tammy doesnâ??t believe the animals are attacking and thinks her husband is going crazy.
The language in this movie is pretty tame, with one hell, dâ??n, and various words such as stupid. At one point, Tammy says to Dan â??Iâ??m married to a lunatic,â? and Dan says (after getting sprayed with the sprinkler) â??Check out Mr. Pee-Pee Pants.â? He also makes reference to a leech in his no-no zone.
The slapstick comedy in this movie is over the top. Tyler shows Dan a picture of a dead person with a rattlesnake on top of him. Dan falls on the roof onto his crotch. He chases a raccoon in only his underwear. Several times Dan is sprayed by skunks. A raccoon pees on Danâ??s face, bites him, sets up a roadblock which forces Dan off the road, a gopher plays Whac-A-Mole with people, the animals set up a strategic attack plan (think â??Home Aloneâ?), etc.
Dan is forced to wear his wifeâ??s spandex warm-up suit, which is too small and has the words YUM-YUM across the buttocks region. As Dan is walking in the suit, you can clearly see the outline of a thong. There are several times men are seen in only their underwear (all non-sexual). Dan accidentally has his wife’s bra on. A girl is shown with short running shorts. The ending scene depicts cast members as various music video stars.
There is a drug reference: Dan drinks Mushroom Sleepy-Bye Tea, and, while sleeping,s has bizarre (hallucinations) dreams. Someone is shown smoking a cigar and throwing it in the forest.
There is a reference to Indians (people from India) and someone makes some tasteless Native American comments. A teacher makes a comment about a senile teacher regarding tenure.
I truly am amazed at the â??greenâ? movement. Huge corporations put the word green in their title or redesign their logo and make it green colored, and they think they are eco friendly. Humans continue to believe we are in control. We doubt the existence of God and then wonder why people donâ??t take care of what God created. We think we have the power to â??saveâ? or â??destroyâ? and leave God out of the picture. Psalm 24:1-2 states,
â??The earth is the Lordâ??s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.â?
As we recognize our Creator, we begin to realize the value of all He created and take better care of the earth and all its inhabitants, both people and animals.
This movie is just dumb. It really isnâ??t funnyâ??just cheap, slapstick humor. I would not waste my time seeing it. My 7 year old said â??it was okay.â? This movie definitely preaches the â??save the forest and the animalsâ? message. It is aimed at young children and depicts cute adorable animals only wanting to save their world. If you donâ??t think your children are ready to hear this message, avoid this movie.

Head to Head Review
Head2Head dance concert held at the Destiny Worship Center was absolutely insane. The marvelously diverse dance acts spanned traditional, expression and urban choreography were both eye-catching and entertaining, which the dancers artfully executed with tremendous spirit and personality but most importantly……..the JESUS swag!
At the core of the concert (and featured in nearly every crazy mix right after the performances) was our very own Deejay Priesty, who brought the house down…literally, while the MC’s; MOJE and Mr. T (of the “FinjeFinje” fame) displayed some great chemistry and a tat bit of randomness to keep the attendees asking for more! Not even the judges could escape the mchongwano that the MC’s were hurling left, right and center!
The judges panel was formidable and with their experience in the music and arts industry, they were critical in every sense of the word but fair in all the decisions.
There were dance groups from Thika, Ruiru and Nairobi and new performance acts were unveiled and competition was….intense! The groups went all out to impress the judges and the crowds screams told it all.it was ‘anything goes’ as the battle lines were drawn for the ultimate dance showdown!
The groups included:
M.I.C(MBOYZ IN CHRIST)
XBEEZ
FGT(FUNKY GOSPEL TERRORZ)
The BEGOTTEN
C.M.X.S
EDGE DANCERS
In the often-bittersweet sweet expression form of dance the groups sassed the judges with exuberant and sorrowful soft spins and hand actions mpaka yani someone could almost hear the dancers limbs keening with emotion.
The traditional dances were just kinetic comedy at its finest with some insanely ol’skul tunes from artists like Pete Odera,V.U.C, Mary Wambui,Pius Muiru and Munishi!
In contrast tho,the urban dance acts were just disgu-sting(i hear thts the new ‘off the hook’!!). The entire crowd went ballistic when groups stepped up the stage to dance to songs like finjefinje, pages za bible, niko na reason, looking back(Damita Haddon) and joyful noise(The Flame), jerking, bboying, salsa and our very own migingo dance sent body parts flying every where!
The judges also had a chance to prove their worth when the crown challenged the to bust a few moves to earn their stripes and they didnt dissapoint……..blee dat!!the panel had the likes of:
>Domie G-boy(re-known artist and producer.Also a former dancer)
>Span One(Nairobi based hip hop artist)
>Vickie Njau(former member of the famed dancer group ‘unik’)
>Flo(re-known dancer)
The event was graced by Mr.T and Ekko Dyda and Span One,arguably two of the hottest acts in the gospel industry and the both gave absolutely crazy performances!the loved the crowd’s energy so much that the promised to come back for this years event.
Other artist that perfomed in the concert include G-boy,nimmoh,T-bagg,
The winners (FGTz) took home the 10k cheque and the ultimate prize…….bragging rights for the 2009 X dancers of the year!!
2010 is here with us and from the amount of talent we saw at the event, the FGTz will need Jesus as their new dance partner, choreography from King David and God as their deejay if they are to retain their hard earned title!!This years Head2Head is gonna be bigger and more exciting with more groups coming in and surprise artists and deejays rocking the stage!!
The entire X-hoodz Ent. family would sincerely like to thank all those who took time to pray for us and offer any assistance prior to,during and after the event!!Big up,we love u all and God bleeesssshhhaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Billionaire Sticks To His ‘Pact with God’
U.K. entrepreneur Albert Gubay will be giving at least £235 million to the Roman Catholic Church before he dies but hopes to push that amount to at least half-a-billion.
Gubay, the former owner of Kwik Save(a discount supermarket chain in the United Kingdom) and Total Fitness, has already put £470 million of his £480-million estate into the newly established Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation, which will invest half of its funds to the Catholic Church and the rest according to the discretion of the trustees.
But Gubay is planning to continue running his companies for as long as he is able, with the goal of getting his empire’s value past the £1 billion mark.
And when he dies, Gubay will have made good on the vow he made to God as a penniless young man
In 1997, Gubay said in a television documentary that he had made a 50-50 “pact with God” in his youth, promising to give half of his estate to the Roman Catholic Church if he succeed in becoming a millionaire.
â??Make me a millionaire and you can have half of my money,â? he recalled praying.
Since then, Gubay founded the now defunct discount supermarket chain Kwik Save, which he sold in 1973 for £14M. Gubay also founded the fitness chain Total Fitness, which he sold in July 2004 for £70 million.
In recent years, Gubay has shifted his focus to property development, investing mainly in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Russia. After Gubayâ??s death, the Gubay Foundation will receive an estimated income of £20 million a year from the businesses.
â??He (Gubay) wants this work to continue after his death and he has given a lot of thought to this arrangement,â? foundation chairman John Nugent told the Telegraph.
â??His priority now is to maximize the asset base of the company,â? Nugent added. â??He is confident he can push the worth to £1 billion before he dies.â?
Last year, Gubay ranked 107th on The Sunday Times Rich List. Presently, the 82-year-old retailer turned real estate guru is ranked No. 880 on Forbes’ list of billionaires.
Gubay, a devout Catholic, is married and has two children.
More Of Jesus Everyday Release
Kenyan Born, Thika based gospel hip hop artist James Kairu Mwangi (More of Jesus Everyday) or otherwise known as M.O.J.E is currently back in studio and working on his self titled album which is set to be released later this year.
â??I feel that this is the right time to do this album and Iâ??m working twice as hard to make sure that it reaches out to the world so that the people can know about Jesusâ? Says M.O.J.E
The album title “MORE OF JESUS EVERYDAYâ? is said to be out of this world reflecting the walk and how one can make it in life through the help of Jesus Christ. The artist says that working with, music arranger, writer and producer Dan Biu of X-hoodz studios has spurred his growth in the industry.
The album includes divas like Maureen, Nimmoh and Faith and as Moje puts it the trio have helped a lot in ensuring that the album set objectives are met.
â??I was humbled that the divas agreed to be on the album and I cannot even express how happy to work with them at an individual level because it gave me the platform of opening up my heart to share the great vision that God had impacted in my lifeâ?, he added.
â??I have to admit that More Of Jesus Everyday has catchy hooks with powerful flow thatâ??s bound to win souls of those who listen, because the album is focused on showing all the aspects of this multi-talented artist, through creative writing abilities and soul rattling tracksâ?â?? said the executive producer Dannie
Through the pressures and the adversity of the industry Moje has continued to mature as an artist, evolving into the artist he is today from running in the streets of Thika, pursuing hip hop music to a humble godly teacher. The fact that he is the first hip hop artist to go urban in Kenya is what sets him apart from everyone else in an industry that promotes sex, drugs, money and violenceâ?, said Dannie.
‘To keep my head up everyday I have to convince myself that I did not choose to be in this generation but I have the opportunity of making this generation a generation of Power, Purpose and that which has a great vision’ â?? M.O.J.E
